Privacy Policy

DociKit (docikit.com) is operated by Muhammad Hamza Tariq, Pakistan ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use DociKit, why, and what control you have.

The short version

• Files you upload are deleted automatically after 1 hour. You can delete them sooner.
• We never sell your data and never use your files to train AI models.
• We use one essential login cookie. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Files you upload

Uploaded files and the results we create are stored on our servers only to process your request. They are deleted automatically 1 hour after upload, or immediately when you click "Delete my files now". Our staff do not open your files, except when you ask us for help with a specific file or when the law requires it.

AI features

When you use an AI feature (for example Summarize PDF or Chat with PDF), the text of your document and your questions are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) to produce the answer. These providers process the data on our behalf under their business terms, which do not allow them to use it to train their models. Text extracted for AI features is deleted together with your files.

Account information

If you create an account, we store your email address, a securely hashed version of your password (never the password itself), your plan, and when the account was created. We keep this until you ask us to delete your account.

Usage and technical data

To apply fair-use limits, we count how many conversions each account or IP address makes per hour. These counters expire automatically after about an hour. Our servers also keep short technical logs (time, page, error messages) to keep the service secure and working; logs do not contain the contents of your files.

Payments

Paid plans are processed by a payment provider acting as merchant of record (such as Lemon Squeezy or Paddle), or a local payment gateway in Pakistan. They collect your payment details directly; we never see or store your full card number.

Cookies

We use a single cookie, dk_session, to keep you logged in. It is essential for the service and is not used for tracking. If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it. See our Cookie Policy.

Backups and security

Account data is included in server backups, which are access-restricted and kept for 14 days. Uploaded files are never included in backups. Connections use encryption (HTTPS), passwords are hashed with Argon2, and access to our servers is restricted.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your files at any time with "Delete my files now".
• Ask us for a copy of your account data, to correct it, or to delete your account.
• Stop using an AI feature at any time; nothing is sent to an AI provider unless you use one.

Children

DociKit is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell account holders by email.
